There are hundreds of ways to sell buttonSTAR Custom
Buttons, Amazing Buttons, and Star
Personalized Buttons. We will work closely with your school
or group to meet your special requirements. buttonSTAR has put
together some guidelines based on years of experience of conducting
buttonSTAR Fundraisers.
Conducting A Star Personalized Button School Fundraiser
Star Personalized School Buttons are a group of school designs
each made for specific school activities and personalized for
the wearer. Star Personalized Buttons are made for school sports
teams, such as Football or Volleyball, and for activities, such
as DECA or Band. Following is the typical process used by buttonSTAR
to conduct a Star Personalized Button Fundraiser.
1. Order your buttonSTAR Fundraiser Startup Pack including Your
School Sample Buttons, Ask Me Buttons, contact information, display
sheets, and order forms.
Your School Sample Button – buttonSTAR needs to know your
school name, colors, mascot, and which school groups you plan
to sell to.
Ask Me Buttons (optional) – Groups that are selling Star
Personalized Buttons usually order personalized buttons for themselves
first. They then wear their Star Personalized Buttons throughout
the day and sell buttons to others when they are asked about the
button they are wearing.
Contact Information – If you are going to conduct a buttonSTAR
Fundraiser, you will want the many benefits and large saving available
to a buttonSTAR Partner. Please go the buttonSTAR Partner page
and signup as a Partner. It’s free and allows buttonSTAR
to set up an account for your school or group.
Display Sheets (optional) – buttonSTAR will put your button
designs on paper sheets for you group member to show to potential
buyers.
Order Forms – buttonSTAR will provide you with order forms
for your group members to record their sales.
When buttonSTAR receives your request for a buttonSTAR Fundraiser
Startup Pack, we will confirm you request by email or phone.
2. Show your samples to prospective buyers and take orders. Your
group member should wear the “ASK ME BUTTON”, show
the display sheets or sample buttons, take orders, collect money,
and record the transaction on their order sheet. Most schools
sell each 3" personalized buttons for $3.00. Your cost, as
a buttonSTAR Partner, is only $1.50 each. You will receive 100%
markup. You should collect the money for each order as you receive
the order. Most schools try to show the samples to the student
body and take orders for about 2-3 weeks during each sports season
(Fall, Winter and Spring).
3. Place your button order with buttonSTAR. Make one or several
button orders online or by email, fax, US mail. buttonSTAR will
start making your buttons as soon as we start receiving orders
and mail them to you after all orders are received.
4. Distribute completed buttons to the buyers. You will receive
your ordered buttons each placed plastic zip lock bags and your
school or group Web Page Promotional Posters. Distribute the buttons
to those who ordered them.
5. Hang up your buttonSTAR School Web Page Promotional Posters.
buttonSTAR will prepare a web page with your school buttons on
it. Anyone that visits you web page and orders any of the thousands
of buttons that buttonSTAR has online, your school or group receive
a commission. If your school has a web site, ask the Webmaster
if he/she can place a link on the school site to your school button
page. In this way, your school or group, can continue make money
for its next worthy cause.
Conducting a buttonSTAR Amazing Button School Fundraisers
buttonSTAR Amazing Buttons is a collection of the thousands of
buttons we created since 1984. Amazing Buttons include a wide
array of designs for everything from sports to senior class buttons.
Following is the typical process used by buttonSTAR to conduct
an Amazing Button Fundraiser.
1. Order your buttonSTAR Fundraiser Startup Pack including your
Initial Button Order, Ask Me Buttons, contact information, display
sheets, and order forms. Your Initial Button Order – Pick
at least a dozen different designs that buttonSTAR can send you
in quantities that you think will get you started. buttonSTAR
will make the buttons you need to get started and keep you supplied,
as you need more. Some school groups order buttons monthly all
year long. They sell the buttons in their school bookstore or
from sports concession stands or both. We also need to know your
school name, colors, mascot, what school groups you plan to sell
to, and when you plan to start.
Ask Me Buttons (optional) – Groups that are selling Amazing
Buttons usually order personalized buttons for themselves with
their first order. They then wear their Amazing Buttons throughout
the day and sell buttons to others when they are asked about the
button they are wearing. Each group member often gets to select
the Amazing Button that they are going to sell, which usually
makes the fundraiser more successful

Since you already have a supply of buttons, your group should
display the buttons that you plan to sell. buttonSTAR has placed
each button in a zip lock bag so you can handle the buttons without
damaging them. The plastic bags have hang holes so you can display
your buttons on counter rack or other displays. buttonSTAR also
has very inexpensive counter display units that will display 12
or 24 different designs. You can use our displays units and display
or sell buttons for any agreed upon period, then return the display
units and/or unsold buttons (in good condition) for a full refund.
Most schools, booster clubs, or school groups sell Amazing Button
for $1 or $2 each and usually pay fifty cents or less per button.
3. Place additional button orders, as you need more buttons.

Buttons are often made for special events, like, the basketball
team qualifying for the final four, the swim team qualifying for
State or the drama class using buttons to advertise a school play
and then use buttons as tickets for admission. The great advantage
of Custom Buttons is that each participant will now have a keepsake
to forever remind them of the special occasion. Following is the

Fundraiser.

School Event Sample Buttons and contact information.
